Alexandra Abbott "Lexi" Parks (b. 1977, d. 2/9/2015) was the wife of Vincent Harrick and an Assistant City Manager for the City of West Hollywood. She began working for West Hollywood in 2003 as an inspector and worked her way up through the ranks with remarkable speed. As ACM her areas of responsibility included Public Safety, Consumer Protection and Media Relations. Police services are provided by contract with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department. She was very well-liked within the city workforce and among the citizens.

For Christmas 2014 her husband gave her an Audemars Piguet Royal Oaks Offshore watch. She called the jewelry store where it had been purchased and they referred her to the service center in Las Vegas. The service manager recognized the watch as having been sold to a doctor in Beverly Hills, and he told her that her watch may have been stolen. Parks was very upset about this and called the jewelry store again to express her concern. The owners of the jewelry store contacted Hollywood vice detectives Ellis and Long from whom they had bought the watch.

On the night of 8-9 February 2015, Parks was murdered in her home on N. Orlando Avenue. She was savagely beaten, although there were no signs that she had been tied up or restrained. The murder was investigated by Sheriff's detectives Lazlo Cornell and Tara Schmidt. For the first month of the investigation there were few leads. Then DNA from semen found on the victim was matched to Da'Quan Foster. He was arrested and charged with the murder. Based on the evidence, the investigators assumed it was a sexually motivated attack, and the D.A.'s office was prepared to try Foster for rape and murder.
