In the late-1990s, she treated former FBI profiler Terry McCaleb, and performed his heart transplant on 9 February 1998. When McCaleb becomes involved in the Gloria Torres case, Fox threatens to quit as his doctor due to the risks he is taking. However, she later assist him with the case by obtaining information from BOPRA about organ donors and recipients.
