Harry Bosch Wiki

Season Overview

Bosch: Legacy Season 1 begins a new chapter for Harry Bosch after leaving the LAPD, now working as a private investigator while his daughter Maddie starts her career as a rookie patrol officer. The season establishes the show’s new three‑pillar structure: Bosch’s PI cases, Maddie’s development as a young cop, and Honey Chandler’s pursuit of justice after surviving an assassination attempt.

Bosch is hired by billionaire Whitney Vance to investigate a deeply personal mystery involving a possible heir. The case leads Bosch into a decades‑old conspiracy involving corporate interests, private security contractors, and a shadowy group determined to bury the truth. As Bosch uncovers the identity of Vance’s heir, he becomes the target of forces trying to control Vance’s fortune.

Maddie’s storyline follows her early days in uniform, learning the realities of policing under the guidance of Officer Reina Vasquez. Her cases expose her to the moral complexity of the job and the dangers of the streets, culminating in a confrontation with a serial predator.

Honey Chandler, still recovering from the attempt on her life, works to expose the criminal network behind Carl Rogers, the businessman who ordered her assassination. Her pursuit intersects with Bosch’s investigation, drawing them into a reluctant but effective partnership.

The season ends with Rogers murdered by Russian operatives, Chandler’s case collapsing, and Maddie abducted by the man she helped arrest earlier in the season — setting up the cliffhanger that drives Season 2.
