Brad Hirsch was an investigator with the Los Angeles Police Department's Scientific Investigations Division in the mid-1990s. He specialized in latent fingerprinting technology.

In April of 1994, Hirsch was visited at the SID office by LAPD detective Harry Bosch, who compelled Hirsch to run a set of fingerprints from a card attached to the thirty-year-old murder of Bosch's mother. The search produced no results.
