Carney Andrews was a defense attorney working in Los Angeles and the wife of Superior Court Judge Bryce Andrews. In the murder case of Walter Elliot, the trial would have been assigned to Judge Andrews. However, Jerry Vincent hired Carney as associate counsel, creating a conflict of interest that was resolved by reassigning the trial to Judge Stanton. Having served her purpose, Carney was then fired by Vincent who gave her five month's pay.
