Dennis Zane was a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department in the 1990s. He also served as a union representative when officers were being investigated by IAD. He was a veteran cop and old-school when it came to dealing with IAD. He believed all cops were good and IAD was the enemy.
In September of 1996, he represented fellow detective Harry Bosch when Bosch was questioned by IAD detective John Chastain in connection with the gun found in Luke Goshen's bathroom in Las Vegas.
