Ellen Lewis is a Captain in the Los Angeles Police Department. She commands the Hollywood Division in 2016, replacing Captain Larry Gandle. She has a personal relationship with the ex-husband of her subordinate Lieutenant Grace Billets.
She is transferred out of Hollywood leaving Billets as acting Captain. The vacancy is eventually filled by Captain Dennis Cooper.
