Gilbert Spencer is the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's Los Angeles field office.

In April of 1998, he took over the investigation into the murders of Gloria Torres, Chan Ho Kang, and James Cordell when evidence linked those cases to the murder of Donald Kenyon.

In late 1998, he agreed to work with the Los Angeles Police Department in the investigation into the murder of civil rights attorney Howard Elias.
