Detective Johnson is an investigator with the LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division. He and his partner, Detective Nixon, were referred to as "the Presidents" by others in the department.
In November of 1993, he and Detective Nixon were assigned the morning surveillance shift of Administrative Vice Detective Ray Mora when he was suspected of being The Follower.
