Diane Breitman is a judge in Superior Court in the County of Los Angeles. She presides in Dept. 112 of the downtown Criminal Courts Building. Her background is in civil litigation, meaning that she has no predisposition to favor either the prosecution or defense.
In April 2010 she presided in the retrial of Jason Jessup for the murder of Melissa Landy. On 8 April she was forced to declare a mistrial, however she commended Mickey Haller for his handling of the prosecution of the case.
