Karen Revelle was a private investigator for defense attorney Clive Royce. She handled the interviewing of Edward Roman during which she offered to put him up in a hotel and provide him with meals in return for his testimony in the trial of Jason Jessup. She also promised or implied that he would be compensated in some additional way if Jessup was successful in his civil claims against the city and county.
When the defense case imploded on 8 April 2010, Revelle was killed by Jessup.
