Captain LeValley was the commandering officer of the Los Angeles Police Department Scientific Investigation Division in the mid-1990s, and was Brad Hirsch's supervisor. She later became supervisor to Lt. Grace Billets and reported to Assistant Chief Irvin Irving.

In September of 1996, Lt. Billets convinced LeValley not to take over the investigation into Anthony Aliso's murder.

On 2 January 2002, LeValley was present at the recovery scene of a shallow grave in Laurel Canyon.

In November of 2004, LeValley was spotted by former LAPD detective Harry Bosch at Musso & Frank Grill.
