Mary Alice Windsor (b. 1947, d. 2005) was the mother of Louis Roulet, and the owner and operator of Windsor Residential Estates in Los Angeles. Louis was the child of her first marriage.
When Louis was on trial for attempted murder in March of 2005, she supported his false claim that on 9 June 2001, she was attacked by the Real Estate Rapist at a Bel Air home she was trying to sell.
On 12 April 2005, she shot and killed private investigator Raul Levin with a Colt Woodsman .22 that her son had stolen from defense attorney Mickey Haller. Levin had uncovered evidence linking Louis to an earlier murder, and he decided that Levin should be eliminated. It appears that Windsor and her son conspired in this murder so that his involvement would remain hidden. She was such an unlikely suspect that they did not have to worry about her.
On Wednesday 25 May, 2005, she and her son conspired once more, this time in a plan to kill Haller and perhaps also his ex-wife and daughter. Windsor went to Haller's home where she shot him in the stomach with the Colt Woodsman. Haller shot back and killed Windsor.
Portrayal[]
In the 2002 film, Windsor was played by Frances Fisher.
