Michael St. John is a screenwriter who graduated from the University of Southern California in the early 1990s.
While in college, he sold the rights to three of his student scripts to Anthony Aliso for $2,000.
By 1995, St. John's screenplays commanded prices in the six-figures, and he argued with Aliso about the paltry amount he had been paid for his student scripts. After Aliso's murder in September 1996, St. John was briefly considered a suspect and was interviewed by LAPD detective Jerry Edgar.
