"Nighthawks" is a short-story written by Michael Connelly, featuring private investigator Harry Bosch. The story begin with Bosch in Chicago performing surveillance on Angela Griffin. She catches him as they are at an art museum looking at the Edward Hopper painting, Nighthawks. Bosch goes back to his client, Reginald Griffin, Angela's father, and tells him that the woman he was asked to track down was not Reginald's daughter.

The story was first published in the 2016 anthology In Sunlight or In Shadow Stories Inspired by the Paintings of Edward Hopper.
