Judge Stanton was the presiding judge in the case of Walter Elliot. Judge Stanton was not aware of the jury-fixing that had taken place. In the midst of the trial he received an anonymous note telling him that Juror No. 7 was not who he claimed to be. He discussed this note with Judge Mary Holder who turned out to be the mastermind of the jury fix. Subsequently, the defendant, Elliot, was murdered and the trial was concluded.
